Structural Design of Potato Sorting Machine
The potato sorting machine consists of a feeding elevator device, a conveyor belt device, a sorting device, and a discharge conveyor device. The feeding elevator device adopts an inclined rolling bar to transport potatoes to the conveyor belt, which uses food grade belts to ensure the safety of potato consumption. Potatoes are transported to the sorting machine device through the conveyor belt, and the sorting machine device is divided into three levels according to the size of potatoes, namely large, medium, and small, to achieve potato sorting. Finally, the sorted potatoes are transported to the discharge port by the conveyor.
Roller specifications: Sorting roller diameter of 30mm. In order to reduce damage to potato chunks, the outer layer of the rolling bar is covered with rubber hoses, and the total length of the long rolling bar is 970 millimeters and the total length of the short rolling bar is 930 millimeters.
Center distance: The sorting device consists of a combination of 1 pair of active sprocket chains and 3 pairs of driven sprocket chains. According to the reasonable layout of the whole machine structure, the horizontal center distance between adjacent two sprocket chains is selected as 1400 millimeters, and the vertical center distance is 320 millimeters.
Roller gap: The minimum gap for sorting rollers is 40 millimeters, and the maximum gap is 100 millimeters. According to the sorting regulations, it can be adjusted between 40-120 millimeters.
The working principle of potato sorting machine
When the potato sorting machine is in operation, potatoes enter the conveyor belt through the elevator and then enter the sorting machine for sorting process. Potatoes that enter the sorting machine and are smaller than the gap between the rollers fall onto the conveyor belt from the gap between two adjacent rollers and enter the feeding device, while the remaining potatoes continue to move backward. Under the operation of the sprocket, the sorting rollers on the conveyor belt roll forward, and the lifting long rollers gradually increase along the sorting track with the slider, and the distance between the long and short rollers gradually increases. At this time, the potatoes in the continuously increasing gap of the rolling bar also rotate under the action of friction. When the diameter of the potatoes is smaller than the gap, they fall onto the buffer net and then enter the feeding device; Potatoes larger than the gap between the rollers continue to move forward with the belt, falling on different parts as the distance between the long and short rollers increases, thus dividing into three levels. If the lifting roller reaches the highest position and the potato still cannot fall out of the gap, it will eventually fall onto the sponge pad at the end and belong to the category of large potatoes. When the long rolling bar rises to the highest position, the sorting is terminated, and then it is gradually lowered to the lowest position through the sliding rail, repeating the above steps until the sorting task is terminated
